BERLIN ISST ANDERS
Project Type
Marketing, Ad Campaign
April 2025
I had the incredible opportunity to intern with Civocracy, a leading cooperative marketing agency based in Berlin, Germany. As a creative intern, I helped develop and execute a large-scale, multi-platform advertising campaign focused on sustainability, food waste reduction, and conscious consumerism: Berlin Isst Anders (Berlin Eats Better). This campaign, sponsored by the German Ministry, aimed to amplify the voices of 10 mission-driven companies that actively work to reshape the food industry for a more sustainable future.
The challenge: How could we encourage German citizens to rethink their approach to nutrition, food waste, excessive packaging, and overall food consumption? How could we inspire a deeper awareness of what they buy, how they buy it, and the long-term impact of these choices on the environment and society?
Working collaboratively with governments, brands, sponsors, and partners, I contributed to crafting and disseminating compelling messaging through various mediums. This included newsletters, blog articles, video content, social media advertisements and content, press releases, media kits, website content, posters, stickers, flyers, billboards, and more. Each piece was strategically designed to educate, engage, and inspire action.
What made this experience particularly fulfilling was the opportunity to merge creativity with purpose. I sharpened my skills in content creation and marketing strategy and deepened my understanding of German culture, sustainability initiatives, and the power of impactful storytelling. Being part of a movement that drives positive change in consumer habits and environmental consciousness was inspiring and rewarding, solidifying my passion for socially-driven campaigns.
